Where it all began...

Back in the early 50's most of the heating in Charleston was done with oil. It was the age of the "floor furnace" and even those who were fortunate enough to have forced air furnaces mostly used oil fired equipment.

It was during this period of oil fired heat that Sing Heating Company was born. Sing delivery trucks became a recognized icon in the Charleston area as they delivered fuel oil to the families of the low country. On really cold nights Sing delivery drivers could be seen well into the wee hours zipping around town in their bright red and cream trucks with the highly recognizable Sing lettering on the side pumping oil for those cold winter nights. Just to help put things into perspective, a minimum delivery back in those days was 25 gallons which worked out to a staggering $7.50.
